The digital-first strategy of ThaiSri drove substantial growth in its total insurance premiums by 41 percent in 2019, with over 1.2 million policies released for the year. Compared to the year before, this reflected an improvement of over 100 percent, all without hiring any extra employees or deploying any new physical infrastructure. ThaiSri made the decision to broaden its IT capability to keep up with current customer growth with this rapid acceptance of online insurance sales, while also provisioning for potential demand.
