ABA Bank, the largest Cambodian commercial bank and leading digital finance provider, and Credit Bureau Cambodia (CBC) recently launched the Financial Health Check Service on the ABA Mobile app.
This service allows ABA Mobile users to monitor their financial health by obtaining their personal Credit Report and K-Score through the app. A credit report refers to a breakdown record where user can review their personal credit history information and previous inquiries.
K-Score is a statistically generated number that measures an individual’s potential credit risk and predicts the likelihood of payment default.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ABA and CBC was signed under the esteemed presence of ABA’s Chief Executive Officer, Askhat Azhikhanov, CBC’s chief executive officer, Oeur Sothearoath, and representatives from both entities.
Under this agreement, customers can now request CBC Credit Report Plus and K-Score using ABA Mobile. This integration aims to enhance customer experience and promote responsible financial behaviour among Cambodians by providing a more efficient, safe, and user-friendly method for managing credit report payments.
“This launch represents a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to financial inclusion and education. By integrating the Credit Bureau’s tools directly into ABA Mobile, we make it easier for our customers to observe their financial health and make informed decisions,” commented Askhat Azhikhanov during the ceremony.
“We are pleased to launch our collaboration with ABA Bank to enable their customers to access personal credit reports and K-Score via the CBC service on ABA Mobile. This is a significant step in our digitalization drive to offer a seamless experience for Cambodians to conveniently access their financial information in just a few taps on their smartphone,” said Oeur Sothearoath.
“We believe this will play an important role in promoting financial literacy and responsible financial management among a wider group of borrowers,” he added.
